Telemedicine (Doctors) - FAQ’s
The success behind TeladocHealth.com is that you can talk to a doctor within an hour by phone, video, or app 24/7 from wherever you are. Knowing your Care options are important so here are some guidelines to help decide where to turn and when:
  • General Medical – This is Teladoc, for treatment of non-emergency conditions like the flu, allergies, infections, sore throats, asthma, bug-bites, rashes, bronchitis, pink eye, cold symptoms, headaches, upset stomach and much more. These doctors can also diagnose and prescribe new or ongoing medicines when necessary.
  • Family Doctors – For annual exams and ongoing medical conditions needing regular monitoring.
  • Urgent Care or ER – For severe conditions like chest pain, sprains, deep cuts, burns, or broken bones, or generally severe symptoms.
Yes. Teladoc Health is the largest and best-known virtual provider of its kind in the US and doctors are licensed in every state to provide relief when you’re not feeling well.
Simply put, skip the trip to the waiting room, save time, money, and sometimes embarrassment. Talk to a board-certified doctor anytime anywhere and avoid scheduling appointments to physically show up when you are not looking or feeling your best.
No. Teladoc doesn’t replace your primary care doctor. Teladoc should be used for non-emergency illnesses when it's not convenient to get to the doctor or outside of regular office hours.
If you are a RexCare® client or employee, then you should have already received an invite from your company to sign up. If you are interested in getting Teladoc then great, please contact RexCare® directly and not Teladoc Health. As an authorized broker we already have deep discounted pricing and programs set up that you will not have access to without RexCare®.
Yes and No. Yes, Teladoc is for everyone, but it is only available through authorized Brokers and at varying price points. RexCare® is the leading low-cost aggregator and only national provider that focuses specifically on non-insurance Employer Sponsored – Employee Assistance Programs focused only on human wellness.
NO. Teladoc and RexCare® specifically, eliminate the hassle of insurance. We only provided non-insurance separate benefits and any request for insurance information in not needed at any time.
Of course not. There is no time limit for visits, and there is never an extra charge or a charge at all for doctor's visits.
Teladoc is a service offered to employees through their employers, providing convenient access to healthcare consultations. However, not all brokers or employers are part of the RexCare® initiative. Our mission is to reach out to businesses and advocate for eliminating employee charges for this service and other wellness offerings for workers.
You can access Teladoc through the RexCare® app, Teladoc’s own app, via the web, or by phone. However, access is contingent on your employer's participation in the program. All consultations are conducted through phone or video calls.

Yes. You must have an active US prescription. When you place your order, you will let us know where to locate your prescription (with your provider or previous pharmacy) and we’ll handle the rest for you!
No worries! DiRx will handle the transfer of your prescription for you. After selecting your medicine, you have the following options:
  • Prescriber Submission: Your prescriber can send your prescription directly to DiRx.
  • DiRx Contact: We can contact your prescriber to request your prescription on your behalf.
  • Pharmacy Transfer: YWe can transfer your prescription from another pharmacy to DiRx for you.

Yes, DiRx can automatically refill your medicines for the duration of your prescription as long as you choose an auto-refill option at checkout. We’ll send you reminders before each refill to give you peace of mind. This also gives you the chance to update your information, as needed.
Yes, you can easily have a new prescription sent to DiRx. Here’s how:
  • Electronic Submission: Ask your prescriber to send an e-script to DiRx using NCPDP #5707801 or fax it to 833-347-9329, just like with any other pharmacy.
  • Prescriber Information: Alternatively, provide us with your prescriber’s name and number when placing your order, and we’ll handle the rest for you.

No! Insurance is not part of the DiRx experience, so neither are insurance or pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) denials. With DiRx, all decisions are between you and your doctor. A DiRx pharmacist is there for assistance with every step.
We carry over 1,500 of the most commonly used FDA-approved, generic medicines. If you don’t see your medicine on our list, check in with our Customer Care team or create an account to join our mailing list and stay informed on our latest product additions, promotions and health tips.
We only carry FDA-approved generic medicine. These generics are approved by the FDA after a stringent review of their bio-equivalence data to ensure that they are comparable to the brand-name product. In certain cases, we also carry Authorized Generics that are basically generics made by the same brand companies. Read more about generic medications here. Whether or not a generic is prescribed is a conversation between you and your doctor. For faster processing, please ask your provider to send your prescription to DiRx (NCPDP #5707801). Delivery estimates assume all valid prescriptions are received electronically or via fax by 3 PM ET today. Orders are typically filled within 24-48 hours of receiving prescriptions.

If your medicine requires refrigeration, we will package it in a water-resistant sleeve with an icepack to ensure it remains at the proper temperature. All refrigerated items are shipped for next day delivery to ensure safety and efficacy.
Generally, we ship medicine via USPS. It should arrive promptly within standard delivery times. In some cases, we can expedite and ship your medicine overnight for a small fee, as detailed in our shipping fees.

However, since you are part of RexCare® you have specific logging credentials and so for regular or recurring medicine needs, you will have created an account to take advantage of auto-refill options or manage and track your orders.

Yes! You can create additional profiles for family members under your primary account. Please note that primary account holders must be 18 years of age or older. Profiles can be added to your primary account under “Manage Patient Profiles” in your dashboard. Choose “Add a patient” and complete the form with your family member's information as it appears on the valid US prescription. Prescription drugs are only intended for the patient they are prescribed for. Prescriptions for multiple family members can be placed on the same.
No. There is No charge when you are enrolled under your employers ES-EAP program.

  • How does it work?
    • After completing a short questionnaire, users can immediately start communicating with their Coach to address issues such as stress, anxiety, grief, depression, isolation, or relationship concerns. It also supports proactive work on mindfulness, coping skills, and resiliency.
  • Key Features:
    • Accessible: Participants can text with their Coach anytime using a mobile, tablet, or desktop, without scheduling conflicts.
    • Licensed: All Coaches are independently licensed clinicians with special accreditation for technology-based care.
    • Secure: Communications are encrypted and stored securely, ensuring privacy.
    • Stigma-Free: Ideal for individuals who may not be comfortable with traditional face-to-face or distance counseling.

Textcoach® provides a flexible and secure way to support mental health and well-being, making it accessible to those seeking a modern approach to counseling.

Every Coach on Textcoach is a licensed and experienced clinician. Here are the qualifications:
  • Professional License: Coaches hold a professional license, ensuring they meet the standards required for clinical practice.
  • Clinical Experience: Each Coach has a minimum of five years of clinical experience, bringing depth and expertise to their guidance.
  • Special Accreditation: Coaches are required to obtain and maintain the Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH) credential, which certifies their capability to provide technology-based mental health care.

Textcoach ensures that all participants receive high-quality support from qualified professionals.

Textcoach® is suitable for addressing a variety of concerns and goals, including:
  • Stress Management: Receive support and tools to effectively manage stress.
  • Mood Enhancement: Boost your mood with guidance from your Coach.
  • Relationship Improvement: Work on enhancing and improving personal relationships.

Your Coach can provide support, practical tools, and resources tailored to your needs. If you require a referral to other resources, such as counseling or therapy, your Coach will assist you in finding the appropriate help.

Getting started with Textcoach® is simple and straightforward:
  1. Create Your Profile: Begin by setting up your personal profile on the platform.
  2. Identify Your Issue: Let us know what issue you would like to work on, such as stress, mood, relationships, resilience, or mindfulness.
  3. Match with a Coach: Based on your needs, you’ll be matched with a qualified Coach.
  4. Provide Consent: After reviewing the details, provide your consent to continue with the process.
  5. Start Messaging: You’ll receive a welcome message from your Coach and can begin sending messages immediately.

Important Note: Textcoach® is not a live service, and messages are not instant. In case of an emergency, please contact a loved one or appropriate emergency services immediately.

Yes, Textcoach® offers a convenient app that you can download on your mobile devices. The Textcoach® app is available on both the App Store and Google Play. This allows you to easily access your Coach and manage your mental health journey from anywhere.
Textcoach® is intended for adults 18 years of age or older.
While minors cannot sign up, parents can use Textcoach® to gain guidance, information, and resources related to parenting and raising children.
This ensures that the platform remains a valuable tool for adults seeking support and resources for themselves and their families.
Text messages are just one way to communicate with your Coach on Textcoach®. The platform offers multiple ways to connect:
  • Voicenotes: Share your thoughts and feelings through voice messages.
  • Pictures and Videos: Exchange visual content to enhance communication.
  • Resource Links: Send and receive links to additional resources for support.

Textcoach® provides a flexible communication experience, allowing you to choose the method that best suits your preferences.

Important Note: Textcoach® is not a live service, and messages are not instant. In case of an emergency, please contact a loved one or appropriate emergency services immediately.

To deactivate your account on Textcoach®, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the ‘Edit Profile’ section on the web platform.
  2. Click on the ‘Deactivate Your Account’ tab.
  3. Follow the provided instructions to complete the deactivation process.

This will allow you to deactivate your account easily if you choose to do so.

Yes, if you choose to deactivate your account, you will no longer be able to exchange messages with your Coach. However, you can log in again in the future using your original username and password to reactivate your account.

This allows you the flexibility to return and continue receiving support whenever you're ready.

If you feel that your Coach is not a good fit for you, you can request a new Coach at any time directly through the Textcoach™ platform. All Coaches receive special training to help ensure a smooth transition between Coaches, making the process seamless for you.
This feature allows you to find the support that best meets your needs.
To change or reset your password on Textcoach®, follow these steps:
  • Change Password:
    • Log in to the web platform.
    • Navigate to the ‘Edit Profile’ section.
    • Click on the ‘Account Information’ tab to update your password.
  • Forgot Password:
    • If you've forgotten your password, click ‘Forgot Password’ on the login page and follow the instructions provided to reset it.

These options ensure you can easily manage your account access.

Textcoach® is committed to ensuring the confidentiality and security of your information:
  • Encryption: All communication between participants and Coaches is encrypted and stored securely, safeguarding your privacy.
  • Confidentiality: Textcoach® is completely confidential, and no information is released to any third party except as required by law.
  • Legal Exceptions: Information may be disclosed in cases of an imminent threat to your safety or the safety of another person.
